About Net & Paddle Table Tennis Club

Located at 4754 N Leavitt St, Chicago, IL 60625, Net & Paddle Table Tennis Club operates as a tennis club serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7:30–11 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (773) 271-8580. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 16 reviews, which is a strong result for a tennis club in Chicago and suggests consistent service.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Small venue north side of town. It is a church repurposed basketball Court into 5 table tennis court. Lighting is enough to play and the ceiling height is max . You can lob balls all day long if u want The entry fee was 10 dollars to play all night long. The staff was friendly and all the players were super nice. I would recommend if you are in the neighborhood

Net and Paddle has been my home club for years. The club is more than just a table tennis place, it is where you will meet and learn from people from all walks of life. The level of table tennis here is not your basement ping pong. The owner, Paul, who represented the U.S University Team in Israel in 1967, is, and always has been "The Man", the heart and soul of Net and Paddle since he's taken over the club after the founder, Millie, died in the late 90s. Paul has been playing at the high level for over 50 years and I can assure you, it is not easy playing against him. You would have to bring your A game. Really good lighting, Butterfly tables and high ceiling, plus the drop-in rate is affordable or a cheaper option for monthly membership. The best thing about Net and Paddle is the players. Can be described as a tight-knitted group, they are super friendly (not at first) but once you got to know them, it is a family where everyone supports each other. All races and skin colors are welcomed, all speaks one language and that is table tennis. The level of table tennis here will be challenging, and if you really want to play, you'll love it here. I started playing and learning tab

Best ping pong club I've ever witnessed and played at and I have played at quite a few places. I think of myself as a mid-level player and I'm probably near the very bottom player at this club. That said, I always manage to find players who are willing to play with me and many offer very useful advice. In fact, nobody expects upper level players to play with the lower level players like myself, but several at gracious enough to occasionally offer to hit with me. They always provide excellent and useful advice. A very collegial group and absolutely worth a visit to at least watch some really high tournament-level play.

The place for table tennis! Highly motivated players, great atmosphere and quite a high level!

Tables are in a church basement. Concrete floor. Lighting is OK but not great. Price is right, $7 a night or there is a lower monthly fee. The players, on the other hand, are excellent. Many players at a high level. A few players at mid level. No beginners. Players are friendly with the usual reluctance of top players to play with people at a lower level. Tunwa (Turtle) offers lessons there. He is a great coach.
